My name is Maria dels Àngels Ferran and I am the wife of Ramir Pons Cruañas, whose grandson bought this property in 1920. Ramir lived in this place all his life. He helped take care of the land and tended the cattle, but he also had an interest in studying and being an entrepreneur in the early years of foreign tourism in Cosata Brava. His drive and perseverance led him to create Bar Ramiro, with a very modern aesthetic inspired by the the film 2001 Space Odyssey.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In the following years, with the need to adapt to the current market, he reformed the bar on a couple of occasions. But for more than 50 years he was at the head of what many still remember as Bar Ramir.

In 2006 I decided to restore Can Gemenut and what had been the garages and yards into a house and an apartment. I wanted to preserve the rural feel, but without forgetting the modernity and practicality of a privileged situation: next to the sea and the shops of a city well prepared to welcome visitors.
